beautiful hammer

"In case of emergency, use Martello."

Might be the best phrase I've ever translated on an Italian train.

I've spent the last couple of weeks prying apart legacy complicated email setups and rebuilding them for a couple of new clients.

Fitting then that my full name means "beautiful hammer."

For someone who's pretty techy, I get frustrated with most email tools.

Too complicated, too persnickety, and generally way too expensive to do the basic things that most of my clients (and my Nugget readers) need to do.

What's the #1 thing my clients want to do?

Send emails to the right people at the right time.

Most systems make this way harder than it needs to be.

Looking at you, seriously complicated but deceptively cute chimp.

That's why I love using Kit* to send my emails. I can simply target exactly who I want to talk to by using tags, segments and smart automations.

So when the team at Kit sent me a note this week that they're offering 25% off new annual plans in advance of MailChimp's second pricing change in three months (what could bananas cost, really?), I knew I had to share it.

I left the chimp back in 2016 and I've never regretted it.

I know moving software tools can be a pain, but as a sweet bonus, Kit is offering to handle your migration so nothing gets lost in transition.

And for anyone who sets up a new Kit* account with my link (or if you've previously used my link to set up a Kit account), I'll send you my guide "grab-and-go emails to send when you need to rake in cash fast."

Just hit reply and let me know you've signed up.

you've got this,
Michelle

Might be my new favorite sign tacked up on telephone poles around my neighborhood.I'll draw your pet. For money.Clear, to the point and even has a QR code for easy scanning.More people could use that kind of simplicity when sharing their offers. Recently I tried to register for a local retreat and while the instagram carousel looked delightful, there was nary a link to click nor a trigger word to use to get more info. I'm someone who appreciates a ManyChat* automation to share info quick with...

One of my friends gave me an odd request while we were waiting for the knife sharpener guy at the the farmer's market (middle-aged joy=sharp knives).Could I curate her instagram feed for her? She's opted out of scrolling for the past few years citing *waves arms everywhere.* But she's missed connecting with people and wants a clean slate. This means she's back on my pebble list - now I can send her my special blend of elderly dog videos, time-lapse crocheted frogs and always on-point muppet...

I'm sitting here nursing my twisted ankle like a wounded bird.Got a little ambitious last night in my first proper House music dance class. Now I pride myself on being a pretty good dancer. I spent many a youthful night sweating it out til 6am in deep house clubs. Even met my husband thru my fav DJ.Turns out I've been doing a few basic moves wrong most of my life. But if you've never learned how to do it right, you keep doing it the same way you've always done it. In my line of work, I see the...
