more fun than a day at the DMV

I had the best time at the DMV yesterday (well, maybe not the "best" - but I was in and out in under 12 minutes. That has to be some sort of Guinness book record).

I'm one of those nutty people who loves to knock out tasks during the holiday break (I mean, there's only so many Columbo reruns a person can watch).

I'm finally getting around to all the little things I've been putting off for months (like getting my Real ID and shredding my backlog of archival paperwork. Turns out no one's ever asked me for the receipt for that clunker of an Oldsmobile I donated back in 2002).

And shockingly, because I went into the DMV with a plan (i.e. I filled out the paperwork online) it was surprisingly painless. No waiting, just an immediate ding over the intercom to counter #1 where I forked over $30 for an unflattering pic I'll be stuck with for the next decade. From to-do to to-done.

Maybe not the most exciting of adventures, but primed and prepared is the energy I'm taking into 2025.

Less "winging it" - and more operating intentionally.

(And frankly, reducing stressful situations wherever possible.)

A key part of going into the new year less stressed?

Taking the time to dream things out.

How often do we give ourselves even a couple of hours to sit, imagine, and reflect?

This Monday my longtime client Elena Brower and I will be hosting a 90-minute live workshop to prime you for the upcoming year. Forgoing goals for direction.

Come join us and plan for the year you want.

I promise it'll be more fun than a day at the DMV.

I never thought I'd be obsessed with guinea pigs, but well, here we are. In an effort to cheer up my nightly doomscrolling my husband sent me this reel and I'm officially hooked. Who knew it would be this brain soothing to watch animals nibble veggies for hours on end? Franky, I think the term guinea pig gets a bad rap - and I'm looking for a few to help me out. This week I've been speaking to groups all about getting more (quality) leads from repeatable activities - like connecting ManyChat...

I willingly sign up to get murdered every Friday (not to be confused with getting murdered on the show The Traitors, my other current obsession). It's the hardest class my pole studio offers - level 2/3 Drop-In Murder.Frankly, most days I have no business being in there with legit athletes, but as they say, surround yourself with people who are where you want to be.I'm over the moon if I achieve any part of that day's trick as I watch others skillfully land Cirque du Soleil level...

I couldn't help but overhear my nephew's zoom interview yesterday. He's applying to be a social media intern for some random out-of-state company found through his college career center. As soon I heard a voice say "when can you start?" I pulled up the owner's LinkedIn account to verify that it was an actual business. I *may* have also searched for any lurking court records - Aunt Michelle gets a bit protective over her flock.Duly satisfied that it was a legit biz, I checked what the company...
