I wrote this in five minutes (this is wild!)

I'm usually slow to try something out, but when I get it, I get it.

This simple tool might have just changed my life.

I've been hearing about WisprFlow* from friends for a couple of months but I'm one of those people that puts things on my to-do list to look at later.

Later turned out to be today.

On average it takes me about one to two hours to write my regular newsletter.

Write it, edit it, cut out what I don't need, format and test it. Have an existential crisis if my writing is any good and will it actually matter to anyone (that part takes the longest).

I just wrote this email in about five minutes from start to publish.

All I had to do was click a button on my keyboard and voice my thoughts into my notes taker.

It's got to be the cleanest transcription I've seen of any of these AI tools.

And the best part? Wispr* sits on top of your other tools - so you don't have to radically change your workflow.

Voice your thoughts into a google doc, a powerpoint slide, your favorite notes app - it doesn't matter. You simply click one specific button and start talking.

I am so stoked. I can't even tell you.

It took me all of two minutes to install Wispr* on my phone and my computer and I already know I'm going to be using this all day, every day for things like:

  • first drafts
  • client ideas
  • new apps I want to create
  • all the thoughts I want to capture during dog walks or those long rest periods avoiding doing squats

This is so much faster than writing random notes to myself, which is the way I've been capturing my thoughts for years.

Check out WisprFlow* here - there's a limited free version and paid version that runs around $12 a month (and there's even a HIPAA complaint version on the Enterprise plan).

you've got this,
Michelle

p.s. still haven't found a tool that helps you avoid existential crisis mode when writing, but give it a few weeks and I'm sure someone will vibe code it.

Need help going to sleep?Check out the email marketing subreddit. It's dry as toast and often yawn inducing, but reading forums and trade newsletters is how I stay on top of the latest tech issues.Like what's causing your emails to end up in spam. You can have all the things set up correctly (DKIM, SPF, DMARC etc.***) and still have your emails stuck in the void.If you're like me and want to avoid your artisanal copy from ending up in inbox purgatory (or want to help your clients avoid it)...

I opened the envelope and muttered "he knows I've been putting this off."It was a letter from the lawyer who created our family trust and medical directives. It's so simple - a quick note asking if anything has changed in our lives and if we'd like him to review our files for a low fee. And of course we need to update beneficiaries (not exactly the most fun of tasks, so it's been on my to-do list for months two years). It's probably one of the smartest things he does for his business -...

Dude. It's a lot right now.I've had more than a few voice messages in my DMs this week about just how burned out people are. I know my general outlook can vary based on what time of day I've read Heather Cox Richardson's latest missive. So finding tools that bring ease into my life is paramount as I'm starting several intense client projects that require hours of daily meetings. I'm not looking to make my work life any harder than it needs to be. Last year a designer friend recommended using...
