your new best friend

I wasn't going to send a note today, but two of my afternoon consulting clients who love my nerdy finds convinced me otherwise.

I don't care how techy (or not) you are, everyone I talk to is overwhelmed by AI.

Most days I feel like a prairie dog poking up out of my work tunnel trying to see what's new.

The rabbit hole I've gone down the past few weeks?

Finding new ways to use the Claude extension for Chrome.

The BFF I never knew I needed. Plus the only time it slacks off is when I go over my usage limit.

Once you've installed the extension, click the little icon in your browser and Claude sits neatly inside your browser. Claude will now sit side by side whatever site you want to know more info about.

Just this week I've used it to:

  • get sales and traffic insights from Google Analytics
  • review an instagram account to generate new content ideas
  • generate ideas to improve sales page conversions

Two important caveats (use at your own risk and don't come at me if you run into issues :)

1. It's easy to go over your plan usage. Be mindful of what Claude model you're using (for quick questions, use Haiku). Don't use it for image creation.

2. The extension is still in beta mode. Some users have had issues with stability and performance - and I found it can really lag at times.

you've got this,
Michelle

p.s. if you're a woman of a certain age (*ahem*) and overwhelmed by all the info out there, I'm sharing an enthusiastic recommendation for Women: The Portal. I'm helping to design this program launching later this spring. Get on the interest list here.

Might be my new favorite sign tacked up on telephone poles around my neighborhood.I'll draw your pet. For money.Clear, to the point and even has a QR code for easy scanning.More people could use that kind of simplicity when sharing their offers. Recently I tried to register for a local retreat and while the instagram carousel looked delightful, there was nary a link to click nor a trigger word to use to get more info. I'm someone who appreciates a ManyChat* automation to share info quick with...

One of my friends gave me an odd request while we were waiting for the knife sharpener guy at the the farmer's market (middle-aged joy=sharp knives).Could I curate her instagram feed for her? She's opted out of scrolling for the past few years citing *waves arms everywhere.* But she's missed connecting with people and wants a clean slate. This means she's back on my pebble list - now I can send her my special blend of elderly dog videos, time-lapse crocheted frogs and always on-point muppet...

I'm sitting here nursing my twisted ankle like a wounded bird.Got a little ambitious last night in my first proper House music dance class. Now I pride myself on being a pretty good dancer. I spent many a youthful night sweating it out til 6am in deep house clubs. Even met my husband thru my fav DJ.Turns out I've been doing a few basic moves wrong most of my life. But if you've never learned how to do it right, you keep doing it the same way you've always done it. In my line of work, I see the...
